𝗣𝗲𝘁𝗲𝗿 𝗮𝗽𝗽𝗿𝗼𝗮𝗰𝗵𝗲𝗱 𝗝𝗲𝘀𝘂𝘀 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗮𝘀𝗸𝗲𝗱 𝗵𝗶𝗺, “𝗟𝗼𝗿𝗱, 𝗶𝗳 𝗺𝘆 𝗯𝗿𝗼𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗿 𝘀𝗶𝗻𝘀 𝗮𝗴𝗮𝗶𝗻𝘀𝘁 𝗺𝗲, 𝗵𝗼𝘄 𝗼𝗳𝘁𝗲𝗻 𝗺𝘂𝘀𝘁 𝗜 𝗳𝗼𝗿𝗴𝗶𝘃𝗲 𝗵𝗶𝗺? Forgiveness in Sacred Scripture

🔹 Jesus’ Teaching on Forgiveness

“Forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us” — (Gospel of Matthew 6:12)
Jesus Christ makes forgiveness a condition for receiving God’s mercy:
- “If you do not forgive others, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses” (Matthew 6:15)

🔹 Unlimited Forgiveness

When Saint Peter asks how many times to forgive:
- “Seventy times seven” (Matthew 18:22)
  Meaning: forgiveness should be without limit

Prayer for the Forgiveness of Sins

O Lord, Jesus Christ, Redeemer and Saviour, forgive my sins, just as You forgave Peter’s denial and those who crucified You. Count not my transgressions, but, rather, my tears of repentance.
