Saint Joseph the Worker
Prayer Before Work to St. Joseph the Worker
O Glorious Saint Joseph, model of all those who are devoted to labor, obtain for me the grace to work in a spirit of penance for the expiation of my many sins; to work conscientiously, putting the call of duty above my natural inclinations; to work with thankfulness and joy, considering it an honor to employ and develop by means of labor the gifts received from God; to work with order, peace, moderation, and patience, never shrinking from weariness and trials; to work above all with purity of intention and detachment from self, keeping unceasingly before my eyes death and the account that I must give of time lost, talents unused, good omitted, and vain complacency in success, so fatal to the work of God. All for Jesus, all through Mary, all after thy example, O Patriarch, Saint Joseph. Such shall be my watch-word in life and in death. Amen.
Prayers to St. Joseph For Workers
Joseph, by the work of your hands and the sweat of your brow, you supported Jesus and Mary, and had the Son of God as your fellow worker. Teach me to work as you did, with patience and perseverance, for God and for those whom God has given me to support. Teach me to see in my fellow workers the Christ who desires to be in them, that I may always be charitable and forbearing towards all. Grant me to look upon work with the eyes of faith, so that I shall recognize in it my share in God’s own creative activity and in Christ’s work of our redemption, and so take pride in it. When it is pleasant and productive, remind me to give thanks to God for it. And when it is burdensome, teach me to offer it to God, in reparation for my sins and the sins of the world.

Novena to St. Joseph the Worker
Joseph, patron saint of workers, blending skill with charity, silent carpenter, we praise you! Joining work with honesty, you taught Christ with joy to labor, sharing his nobility. It is becoming for you, O Mary, to be mindful of us, as you stand near him who bestowed upon you all graces, for you are the mother of God and our Queen. Come to our aid for the sake of the King, the Lord God and Master who was born of you. For this reason, you are called “full of grace.” Be mindful of us, most holy Virgin, and bestow on us gifts from the riches of your graces, O Virgin full of grace.

Almighty ever-living God, who raised up the Bishop Saint Athanasius as an outstanding champion of your Son’s divinity, mercifully grant, that, rejoicing in his teaching and his protection, we may never cease to grow in knowledge and love of you. Novena To Saint Athanaseus
Hail, O St. Athanasius! Model of virtue, most brave defender of the Faith! Hail, thou rock of the Patriarchs! Sweet-voiced trumpet, admirable mind, most persuasive tongue, axe that felled the forest of heresies and burned them with the fire of the Holy Ghost, most firm pillar and unshakeable tower. O Holy Doctor of the Church, thou armed the Mystical Body of Christ with divine dogmas of the Catholic Church; Thou didst keep the faith O glorious St. Athanasius, and justly won a crown by thy labors. In thy flesh, O blessed Patriarch, Thou filled up the sufferings of Christ, suffering many persecutions, even from among those counted within the Church. O God-bearing Saint, with the staff of thy teachings thou drove heretical wolves far from the one, holy, catholic, and apostolic Church, Thou didst encompass and defend her with the fortifications of thy words and presented her sound and safe to Christ. Beseech God, therefore, that by thy merits and intercession, He would deliver from error, perversion and all dangers, both spiritual and temporal, those who faithfully celebrate thine ever venerable memory. In particular, we implore… [State your intention(s) here…] We ask this through Christ our Lord, And the powerful intercession of St. Athanasius. Amen.
Let us pray
O God, the rewarder of faithful souls, grant that by our pious devotion and commemoration of St. Athanasius, and by the prayers of Thy same blessed confessor and bishop, may we be rendered acceptable to Thy mercy and receive the gifts of Thy grace. Through Christ our Lord. Amen. St. Athanasius, Pray for us.

Please bring my petitions before God Whom you served! Your early acquaintance with holy monks during your childhood years must have done a lot to inspire you along the path of holiness. You soon followed in their footsteps and chose to devote your life to God. Pray for me, that I may always seek ways to grow in holiness in my life. Saint Damien de Veuster of Moloka’i
St. Damien of Molokai Novena Prayers
Thank you Lord Jesus for the powerful witness of love that you provided in St. Damien of Molokai. I pray that I will have the same love toward all I meet, especially those who are different than me. St. Damien, you were a spiritual minister and leader to people with leprosy. Thus, you were not too proud to work with the most outcast members of society. Help me to remember those in my own life and culture who are seen as outsiders. Remind me to invite them into my world to make them feel welcome and respected. Keep me from treating those who are different as unworthy of love and respect. Help me to remember that all people are equal in God’s eyes. As the patron of lepers, I bring to you in my heart all those who suffer from terminal illnesses and all of those who feel outcast from society in some way. Please also pray for these intentions I hold in my heart: (State your intentions here) St. Damien, Pray for Us!
Saint Damien Prayer
Damien, brother on the journey, happy and generous missionary, who loved the Gospel more than your own life, who for love of Jesus left your family, your homeland, your security and your dreams. Teach us to give our lives with joy like yours, to be in solidarity with the outcasts of our world, to celebrate and contemplate the Eucharist as the source of our own commitment. Help us to love to the very end and, in the strength of the Spirit, to persevere in compassion for the poor and forgotten so that we might be good disciples of Jesus and Mary. Amen
Collect Prayer
Father of mercy, who gave us in Saint Damien a shining witness of love for the poorest and most abandoned, grant that, by his intercession, as faithful witnesses of the heart of your Son Jesus, we too may be servants of the most needy and rejected. Through our Lord Jesus Christ, your Son, who lives and reigns with you in the unity of the Holy Spirit, God, for ever and ever.

Blessed Virgin Mary of Fatima, with renewed gratitude for your motherly presence we join in the voice of all generations that call you blessed. We celebrate in you the great works of God, who never tires of lowering himself in mercy over humanity, afflicted by evil and wounded by sin, to heal and to save it. Saint Matthias
A Prayer to St. Matthias the Apostle, for Grace
O Glorious Saint Matthias, in God’s design it fell upon you to take the place of the unfortunate Judas who betrayed his Master. You were selected by the twofold sign of the uprightness of your life and the call of the Holy Spirit. Obtain for us the grace to practice the same uprightness of life and to be called by that same Spirit to wholehearted service of the Church. Then after a life of zeal and good works let us be ushered into your company in heaven to sing forever the praises of Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. Amen.
A Prayer to St. Matthias the Apostle, for the Church
O Almighty God, who into the place of Judas didst choose thy faithful servant Matthias to be of the number of the Twelve: Grant that thy Church, being delivered from false apostles, may always be ordered and guided by faithful and true pastors; through Jesus Christ our Lord, who liveth and reigneth with thee, in the unity of the Holy Spirit, one God, now and for ever

Saint Isidore the Farmer
Prayer to Saint Isidore the Farmer, Patron of Countrymen
Good Saint, we are told that your devotion to the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass was so great that you would rise before it was light in order to be able to attend Mass before beginning your work in the fields. Obtain for us, we pray you, some of that loving devotion to the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass. There it is that the fruits of our farm labor, bread and wine, are brought and offered to God by the priest. Then, in the consecration, Christ Himself, Body and Blood, Soul and Divinity, becomes present on our altars under the appearances of this same bread and wine. And in what was the altar bread, He comes to us to be the very food of our souls. If we deeply realize the value and beauty of Holy Mass, we will be very happy to attend as often as we possibly can. Help us to understand that in the Mass we offer ourselves to God with Christ by the hands of the priest. There we can bring to God all that we do, and offer it to Him in union with His Holy Sacrifice. The oftener we do this now, the happier we shall be hereafter. Good Saint Isidore, bless us
Prayer to St. Isidore (farmers)
O St. Isidore, patron saint of farmers, I come to you now asking your intercession on behalf of (name person) and all whose livelihood is based in farming. I ask you to pray that their crops have sufficient water and minerals to grow to fruition and that they are abundant at harvest. Please pray that their crops are protected from strong winds, flooding, hail, rust, and every blight of worm and insect. St. Isidore, please pray that God in His infinite love and wisdom will bless their labors so that they may reap the rewards of work well done here on Earth and in Heaven. Amen.
St Isidore the Farmer Novena
St. Isidore, you lived a humble life working the land. You attended Holy Mass each morning, which jeopardized the employment that allowed your family to eat. The Lord repaid your love by sending His angels to plow the fields while you were at Church. Dear Isidore, ask Our Lord Jesus to place deep faith in our hearts and water it each day with your prayers that we may progress in holiness as you did. Pray that as our heart grows in love and humility we may be a living sign of Jesus to those around us. As a farmer who used his hands to bring forth nourishing food, please ask Jesus to bless us with a bountiful harvest. Pray that our hands and bodies will remain strong that we may farm the land God has given us. Ask Jesus to care for our gardens as he tends our hearts. Pray that weeds will be kept far from our fields and likewise give us an aversion to sin. Humbly we ask that you carry the petitions we hold in our heart to our most loving and generous Lord. Amen. Our Father… Hail Mary… Glory Be…

Saint Rita of Cascia
Novena Prayer To Saint Rita Of Cascia
O Holy Patroness of those in need, St. Rita, whose pleadings before thy Divine Lord are almost irresistible, who for thy lavishness in granting favors hast been called the Advocate of the HOPELESS and even of the IMPOSSIBLE; St. Rita, so humble, so pure, so mortified, so patient and of such compassionate love for the Crucified Jesus that thou couldst obtain from Him whatsoever thou askest, on account of which all confidently have recourse to thee, expecting, if not always relief, at least comfort; be propitious to our petition, showing thy power with God on behalf of thy suppliant; be lavish to us, as thou hast been in so many wonderful cases, for the greater glory of God, for the spreading of thine own devotion, and for the consolation of those who trust in thee.  We promise, if our petition is granted, to glorify thee by making known thy favor, to bless and sing thy praises forever.  Relying then upon thy merits and power before the Sacred Heart of Jesus, we pray thee grant that (here mention your request). By the singular merits of thy childhood, obtain for us our request. By thy perfect union with the Divine Will, obtain for us our request. By thy heroic sufferings during thy married life, obtain for us our request. By the consolation thou didst experience at the conversion of thy husband, obtain for us our request. By the sacrifice of thy children rather than see them grievously offend God, obtain for us our request. By the severe penances and trice daily scourgings, obtain for us our request. By the suffering caused by the wound thou didst receive from the thorn of thy Crucified Savior, obtain for us our request. By the divine love which consumed thy heart, obtain for us our request. By that remarkable devotion to the Blessed Sacrament, on which alone thou dost exist for four years, obtain for us our request. By the happiness with which thou didst part from thy trials to join thy Divine Spouse, obtain for us our request. By the perfect example you gavest to people of every state of life, obtain for us our request. Pray for us, O holy St. Rita, that we may be made worthy of the promises of Christ. Let us pray: O God, Who in Thine infinite tenderness hast vouchsafed to regard the prayer of Thy servant, Blessed Rita, and dost grant to her supplication that which is impossible to human foresight, skill and efforts, in reward of her compassionate love and firm reliance on Thy promise, have pity on our adversity and succor us in our calamities, that the unbeliever may know Thou art the recompense of the humble, the defense of the helpless, and the strength of those who trust in Thee, through Jesus Christ, Our Lord. Amen.
Petition Prayer I
O Powerful St. Rita, rightly called Saint of the Impossible, I come to you with confidence in my great need. You know well my trials, for you yourself were many times burdened in this life. Come to my help, speak for me, pray with me, intercede on my behalf before the father. I know that God has a most generous heart and that he is a most loving Father. Join your prayers to mine and obtain for me the grace I desire: (Share your request…) You who were so very pleasing to God on earth and are so much more now in heaven, I promise to use this favour, when granted, to better my life, to proclaim God’s mercy, and to make you more widely known and loved. Amen
Petition Prayer II
oly Patroness of those in need, Saint Rita, so humble, pure and patient, whose pleadings with thy Divine Spouse are irresistible, obtain for me from thy Crucified Christ my request: (Share your request…). Be kind to me, for the greater glory of God, and I promise to honour thee and to sing thy praises forever. O Glorious St. Rita, who didst miraculously participate in the sorrowful Passion of our Lord Jesus Christ, obtain for me the grace to suffer with resignation the troubles of this life, and protect me in all my needs. Saint Gregory VII
Prayer
God, strength of all who put their trust in you, you endowed your bishop blessed Gregory with the virtue of steadfastness to defend the liberty of the Church; grant that by virtue of his example and intercession, we may overcome all difficulties with the same courage. Through our Lord Jesus Christ, your Son, who lives and reigns with you in the unity of the Holy Spirit, God, forever and ever. Pope St Gregory VII…Pray for Us St Joseph…Pray for Us St Mother Teresa…Pray for Us Amen
Prayer to St. Gregory VII Pope and Confessor
O invincible defender of Holy Church’s freedom, Saint Gregory of great renown, by that firmness thou didst show in maintaining the Church’s rights against all her enemies, stretch forth from Heaven thy mighty arm, we beseech thee, to comfort her and defend her in the fearful battle she must ever wage with the powers of darkness. Do thou, in an especial manner, give strength in this dread conflict to the venerable Pontiff who has fallen heir not only to thy throne, but likewise to the fearlessness of thy mighty heart; obtain for him the joy of beholding his holy endeavors crowned by the triumph of the Church and the return of the lost sheep into the right path. Grant, finally, that all may understand how vain it is to strive against that faith which has always conquered and is destined always to conquer: “this is the victory which overcometh the world, our faith.” This is the prayer that we raise to thee with one accord; and we are confident, that, after thou hast heard our prayers on earth, thou wilt one day call us to stand with thee in Heaven, before the eternal High Priest, Who with the Father and the Holy Spirit liveth and reigneth world without end.

Saint Mary Magdalen De Pazzi Novena
I adore Thee, O Eternal Father and I thank Thee on the part of Thy beloved Daughter, Mary Magdalene, for all the graces by Thee granted her, and in particular for having chosen her as the resting-place of Thy Divine Being, in that manner, and as far as mortal creatures can become capable thereof and for having promised her to grant her whatsoever she would ask Thee, saying to her : “Bride of My Only-Begotten Word, ask of Me what thou wilt.” I beg of Thee, for the sake of her merits and prayers, to infuse into my heart a true humility and conformity to Thy Divine Will. Our Father, Hail Mary, Glory be to the Father V. Pray for us, O St. Mary Magdalene. R. Saint Bede the Venerable
Prayer of St Bede the Venerable
O Christ, our Morning Star, Splendour of Light Eternal, shining with the glory of the rainbow, come and waken us from the greyness of our apathy, and renew in us your gift of hope. Amen.
Prayer to St. Bede the Venerable
Venerable Saint Bede, Patron of Catholic schools, thank you for being an example of holiness, goodness, and wisdom. Thank you for inspiring us to be lifelong learners who are always eager to learn more. Inspire us to read and hear the Word, which helps us to know Jesus and to follow His ways. Help us all to love God with all our hearts, and to love and respect our classmates, teachers and families. Guide us to use our words kindly and wisely so that we can be effective communicators who listen carefully and speak thoughtfully. Above all, give us courage to live like Jesus lived. Saint Bede, Pray for us. Amen.
Prayer By Saint Bede For Faith, Hope, And Charity
O COME to me, my only hope, O Lord my God. Come to me, true light, Father, almighty God. Come, light from light, both Word and Son of God, God almighty. Come Holy Spirit, concord of Father and Son, God almighty. Come one almighty God, Father and Son and Holy Spirit. Teach faith, stir up hope, pour out love. The will is present with me (yet not from me, but from thee) to quit the world and the earth, and to seek the heavens. But this will is a feeble feather without thy help. Give wings of faith, that I might fly on high to thee.
Prayer By Saint Bede For Betterment
O GOD and King, by whose hand the frame of our measureless world is fitted together, through Christ I implore thee: of thy grace be merciful, for I am wretched. Give a watchful understanding, O King of kings, governor of all things; give, I pray, natural quickness, give a comely light of mind. May faith be right within me, fit to face false sects; above all, may there be timely amendment of habits. May I be loving, humble, truthful, wise with the moment; never speaking of a secret, ever chary of the tongue’s thunderbolt. Give a faithful companion, and a fast friend.

Ascension of the Lord
Prayer
Dear Lord Jesus Christ, Right before your Ascension into heaven you told your apostles to be His witnesses to the ends of the earth upon receiving the Holy Spirit. May I be similarly inspired to spread your Gospel message in word and deed, according to your will for me. And may I do so prudently and joyfully, with your help, your guidance, and your grace! And remembering this glorious event, help me to seek what is above, Heaven, where you are seated at the right hand of God the Father!
Prayer Meditation for The Ascension
O Lord Jesus, I adore you, Son of Mary, my Saviour and my Brother, for You are God. I follow You in my thoughts, O first-fruits of our race, as I hope one day by Your grace to follow You in my person into heavenly glory. Until then, do not let me neglect the earthly task which You have given me. Let me labour diligently all my life with a greater appreciation for the present. Let me realize that only by accomplishing true human fulfilment can I attain Divine fulfilment and ascend to You at the completion of my work. Amen.
Prayer on the Feast of the Ascension
Lord Jesus, you became man and came to live among us. For love of us, you suffered and died for us. Because you are God, you conquered death and rose on the third day. Today you return to your Father and our Father, But you promised to remain with us till the end of time, And to send us the Holy Spirit. We rejoice and thank you, Lord Jesus. Come Holy Spirit, purify and transform us, Kindle within us the fire of your love. Amen

O glorious St. Philip, who wast so favored by God with the gift of consoling and assisting thy spiritual children at the hour of death, be also my advocate and father when I shall find myself at that dreadful moment. Obtain for me that at that hour the devil may not conquer me, nor temptation overcome me, nor fear itself revile me; but that, strengthened by a lively faith, a fervent hope and, a sincere charity, I may sustain with patience and perseverance that supreme struggle, and that, full of confidence in the mercy of the Lord, and in the infinite merits of Jesus Christ and the protection of the Most Blessed Mary, I may deserve to die the death of the just, and be united with thee and all the saints in the blessed home of Paradise, to praise and enjoy the Lord forever. Amen.
Prayer of Saint Philip Neri
Immaculate Virgin, thou hast to save me. Grant that I may always remember thee ; and thou, do thou never forget me. The happy day, when I shall go to behold thy beauty in paradise, seems a thousand years off. So much do I long to praise and love thee more than I can now do, my Mother, my Queen, my beloved, most beautiful, most sweet, most pure, Immaculate Mary. Amen

Pentecost Sunday
Prayer to the Holy Spirit
Come, Holy Spirit, fill the hearts of your faithful. And kindle in them the fire of your love. Send forth your Spirit and they shall be created. And you will renew the face of the earth. Lord, by the light of the Holy Spirit you have taught the hearts of your faithful. In the same Spirit help us to relish what is right and always rejoice in your consolation. We ask this through Christ our Lord. Amen.
Prayers for Pentecost
Come, Holy Spirit, Creator blest, and in our souls take up Thy rest; come with Thy grace and heavenly aid to fill the hearts which Thou hast made. O comforter, to Thee we cry, O heavenly gift of God Most High, O fount of life and fire of love, and sweet anointing from above. Thou in Thy sevenfold gifts are known; Thou, finger of God’s hand we own; Thou, promise of the Father, Thou Who dost the tongue with power imbue. Kindle our sense from above, and make our hearts o’erflow with love; with patience firm and virtue high the weakness of our flesh supply. Far from us drive the foe we dread, and grant us Thy peace instead; so shall we not, with Thee for guide, turn from the path of life aside. Oh, may Thy grace on us bestow the Father and the Son to know; and Thee, through endless times confessed, of both the eternal Spirit blest. Now to the Father and the Son, Who rose from death, be glory given, with Thou, O Holy Comforter, henceforth by all in earth and heaven. Amen.
Prayers for Pentecost
Come, O Holy Spirit, come! From your bright and blissful Home Rays of healing light impart. Come, Father of the poor, Source of gifts that will endure Light of ev’ry human heart. You, of all consolers best, Of the soul, most kindly Guest, Quick’ning courage do bestow. In hard labor You are rest, In the heat You refresh best, And solace give in our woe. O most blessed Light divine, Let Your radiance in us shine, And our inmost being fill. Nothing good by man is thought, Nothing right by him is wrought, When he spurns Your gracious Will. Cleanse our souls from sinful stain, Lave our dryness with Your rain Heal our wounds and mend our way. Bend the stubborn heart and will, Melt the frozen, warm the chill, Guide the steps that go astray. On the faithful who in You, Trust with childlike piety, Deign your sevenfold gift to send. Give them virtue’s rich increase, Saving grace to die in peace, Give them joys that never end. Amen. Alleluia!

The Prayer for the Seven Gifts of the Holy Spirit:
O Lord Jesus Christ, Who, before ascending into heaven, didst promise to send the Holy Ghost to finish Thy work in the souls of Thy Apostles and Disciples, deign to grant the same Holy Spirit to me, that He may perfect in my soul the work of Thy grace and Thy love. Grant me the Spirit of Wisdom that I may despise the perishable things of this world and aspire only after the things that are eternal, the Spirit of Understanding to enlighten my mind with the light of Thy divine truth, the Spirit of Counsel that I may ever choose the surest way of pleasing God and gaining Heaven, the Spirit of Fortitude that I may bear my cross with Thee, and that I may overcome with courage all the obstacles that oppose my salvation, the Spirit of Knowledge that I may know God and know myself and grow perfect in the science of the Saints, the Spirit of Piety that I may find the service of God sweet and amiable, the Spirit of Fear that I may be filled with a loving reverence towards God, and may dread in any way to displease Him. Mark me, dear Lord, with the sign of Thy true disciples and animate me in all things with Thy Spirit. Amen.

Saint Madeleine Sophie Barat
Saint Madeleine Sophie’s Daily Prayer
Sacred Heart of Jesus, Give me a heart that is one with your own; A humble heart that knows and loves its nothingness; A gentle heart that holds and calms its own anxiety; A loving heart that has compassion for the suffering of others; A pure heart that recoils even at the appearance of evil; A detached heart that longs for nothing other than the goodness of heaven; A heart detached from self-love and embraced by the love of God, Its attention focused on God, Its goodness its only treasure in time and in eternity.
Novena To Saint Madeleine Sophie Barat
Dear St. Madeleine Sophie Barat, you Consecrated yourself to the Sacred Heart of Jesus and spent your life opening Schools of the Sacred Heart and educating girls. Please pray St. Madeleine Sophie that as parents and teachers we may have a softness and gentleness towards children as you did. Please pray that the Sacred Heart of Jesus will pour Divine Love and Patience into our hearts. Please take our intentions before the Sacred Heart of Jesus as we know your prayers will be warmly received. Amen.
